A NIGHT IN BUENOS AIRES

Brazil will host the new edition of the show Uma Noite em Buenos Aires in March 2016, which has been successfully touring the world for 40 years and this time brings the best of portenha music from 2015. A show that is both classic and constantly evolving, always striving for artistic excellence.

The performances will take place on March 2 and 3 at the Teatro do Bourbon Country in Porto Alegre (RS), on March 4 and 5 at the Teatro Bradesco in São Paulo (SP), on March 6 at the Teatro Guaira in Curitiba, and on March 8 at the Teatro Marista in Londrina.

The show brings together the best of Argentine music and dance, with overall direction and production by MANOEL POLADIAN and musical direction by maestro CARLOS BUONO, who is currently touring as a special guest in the acclaimed shows of the renowned André Rieu.

As a musical director, bandoneon player, composer, and arranger, maestro Carlos Buono (Sadaic / Bandoneon de Ouro Award) is today the most authentic and magnificent interpreter of Astor Piazzolla. He has been a soloist with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of Milan, Amsterdam, and Hamburg. Known as "the king of tango" in Europe, he is currently touring with Dutch star André Rieu.

Carlos Buono was born in Buenos Aires in 1942. He performed as a musician alongside great names before forming his own group and performing in major capitals around the world. Winner of the Homero Manzi award at the Baradero Festival (Argentina), he was part of the orchestral groups of Alfredo Gobbi, Osvaldo Tarantino, Mariano Mores, Horário Salgan, José Colangelo, Osvaldo Berlinghieri, and Atílio Stampone. He was the musical director at the Michelangelo performance venue and for artists Raul Lavie and Libertad Lamarque, in addition to being a soloist in Júlio Bocca's show in New York. He has accompanied Adriana Varela, Eladia Blazquez, Maria Graña, and Lito Nebbia.

Throughout his career, he has toured Japan, the United States, Russia, Europe, Central America, South America, and Canada. He was the musical director of Piazzola Tango in Buenos Aires and was honored with a medal and diploma from Sadaic (Society of Authors and Composers of Argentina).

The highlight and novelty of the current cast is Claudia Pannone, known for her work as a singer, actress, TV presenter, and composer. After participating in international productions such as “Les Misérables” and “The Little Shop of Horrors,” she decided to dedicate herself to tango, captivated by Astor Piazzolla's melodies.

She was the resident singer at important performance venues in Buenos Aires, such as Esquina Carlos Gardel and Esquina Humberto Manzi, and was part of the Tango Emotion and European Otango companies, participating in numerous significant events related to this musical genre.

In 2010 and 2011, she participated in the world tour of the popular group Gotan Project, which became famous for giving an electronic and modern twist to tango. Claudia can be seen prominently in the DVD “Gotan Project 3.0 Live,” released in 2011.

Her credits also include participation in various CDs and three solo albums: “Renaciendo” (2004), “Alma De Tango” (2005), and “Otra Miranda” (2008). Her style blends the characteristic drama of tango with elegant vocal technique.
