Mafalda Minnozzi debuts her new show "ROMANTICA" with a single performance in São Paulo
The show takes place on September 29 at Teatro Bradesco, featuring great classics of Italian music and cinema
After the success of her shows in Europe and the United States, Mafalda Minnozzi returns to Brazil with a one-time performance that promises to be historic. Celebrating the successes of Italian music and cinema with her unique interpretations, the show will take place on Friday, September 29, starting at 9 p.m., at Teatro Bradesco in São Paulo. Directed by Manoel Poladian and Mafalda Minnozzi, the performance will be the pre-launch of the album ROMANTICA.
ROMANTICA promises to be an unforgettable show, where Mafalda and her band will interpret classics from the great composers of the golden age of Italian pop music like Sergio Endrigo, Domenico Modugno, Ennio Morricone, Luigi Tenco, and Pino Donaggio. The repertoire will include iconic songs like "IL MONDO," “DIO COME TI AMO,” "CARUSO," as well as memorable theme songs from Italian cinema such as "SE" (Cinema Paradiso), "MI MANCHERAI" (The Postman), and "PARLA PIÙ PIANO" (The Godfather).
The feeling and energy of the arrangements, audience participation, and Mafalda's virtuosic singing ensure that these great songs will live on as timeless classics. Even more remarkable is the way Mafalda frees herself on stage, displaying a freedom that allows her to reinvent music by following her inner voice. As a result, the music, the magic of the theater, and the singer’s voice all come together in the word that gives the show its title: ROMANTICA.
"Performing on stage is essential to reveal the true essence of an artist. It's the chance to leave behind the technical world of the studio with its figures, the engineer, the producer, the arranger, the accountant, the coffee machine, and finally dive into the emotions of the audience, the applause, and above all, the music," says Mafalda.
Known worldwide, Mafalda Minnozzi is a woman of many talents. She composes, interprets, contributes to social projects, and creates her own costumes. A strong woman who does not hide the challenges she has faced to establish herself as one of the leading names in Italian music. She fell in love with Brazil in 1996 and, since then, has popularized the accent and romanticism of Italian songs, which had a strong influence on Brazilian popular music during the 1990s.
