OSWALDO MONTENEGRO

Oswaldo Montenegro Celebrates 50 years on the road

in an unprecedented show at the THeatro Municipal in Rio de Janeiro

The presentation inaugurates the “Mestres da Canção” project,

directed by Poladian Produções, and takes place on May 19th (Friday) at 8pm

Oswaldo Montenegro set out on the road at the age of 17, where he took up residence. He never stopped creating, in his constant travels. He has become a contemporary troubadour who seems to live within art, in a whirlwind of projects that take the breath away of those who follow him.

Theatro Municipal is the temple of luxury to celebrate the 50-year career of this indomitable artist who, with a wild creative freedom, looks like no one else, tracing a unique and original.

The show features the presence of the eternal traveling partner, Madalena Salles, the flutist-sister of Menestrel, whom the immense public that follows Montenegro came to adore as someone who was own family.

Other brilliant musicians attend the party. The unusual attraction is the responsibility of multi-instrumentalist Milton Guedes, an artist who started with Oswaldo and returns to play with the master, after more than twenty years of missing him.

A huge screen colors the party with images of the life and trajectory of this composer who, without ever retreating a millimeter in the creation of his art, definitively entered the soul of the Brazilian people.

Poladian Produções, an exponent in the Brazilian show business market since 1961, carries out the “Mestres da Canção” project at the Theatro Municipal in Rio de Janeiro, paying homage to great names in Brazilian music .
