ROD HANNA & THE DISCO MUSIC

It was in 1974 that Maestro Barry White put his orchestra at the service of Soul and R&B, giving birth to Disco Music, the most luxurious yet popular musical style ever, crucial in changing customs, fashion, and behavior, responsible for opening the world’s mind to freedom and celebration of life.

Exactly 20 years later, the band Rod Hanna was born, the first to revive Disco in Brazil and perhaps in the world.

After 23 years, Rod Hanna can be considered the link between Disco Music and new generations. Established artists have toured with the band, including Cynthia Manley from Boys Town Gang, the group A Taste of Honey from the hit Boogie Oogie, David Cochrane from the Commodores, the English ABBA Magic, and they also recorded the most important live DVD of Frenéticas in 2005.

Throughout its career, the band has remained true to its style, creating various productions such as the successful musical “On Broadway” and now the show Disco in Concert, accompanied by the Symphony Orchestra.
