In March 2016, Brazil will host a new edition of the show Uma Noite em Buenos Aires, which has successfully toured the world for 40 years. This time, it brings the best performers of 2015 in Argentine music. It’s a show that remains both classic and constantly evolving, always striving for artistic excellence.
The performances will take place on March 2 and 3 at Teatro do Bourbon Country, in Porto Alegre (RS), March 4 and 5 at Teatro Bradesco, in São Paulo (SP), March 6 at Teatro Guaira in Curitiba, and March 8 at Teatro Marista in Londrina.
This spectacle brings together the best of Argentine music and dance and is directed and produced by MANOEL POLADIAN, with musical direction by maestro CARLOS BUONO, who is currently touring as a special guest in the acclaimed performances of André Rieu.
As a musical director, bandoneon player, composer, and arranger, Carlos Buono (Sadaic Award / Bandoneon de Oro) is now considered the most authentic and magnificent interpreter of Astor Piazzolla. He has been a soloist with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of the Milan Opera, Amsterdam, and Hamburg. Known as “the king of tango” in Europe, Buono is currently on tour with the Dutch star André Rieu.
Carlos Buono was born in Buenos Aires in 1942. He has performed alongside great names until forming his own group and performing in major world capitals. Winner of the Homero Manzi Award at the Baradero Festival (Argentina), he has been part of orchestras led by Alfredo Gobbi, Osvaldo Tarantino, Mariano Mores, Horacio Salgán, José Colangelo, Osvaldo Berlinghieri, and Atilio Stampone. He was also the musical director for the Michelangelo show house and artists like Raúl Lavié and Libertad Lamarque, as well as a soloist for Julio Bocca’s show in New York. Buono has accompanied artists like Adriana Varela, Eladia Blázquez, María Graña, and Lito Nebbia.
Throughout his career, he has toured Japan, the United States, Russia, Europe, Central America, South America, and Canada. He was the musical director of Piazzolla Tango in Buenos Aires and was honored with the Sadaic medal and diploma (Society of Argentine Authors and Composers).

The standout new addition to the cast is Claudia Pannone, known for her work as a singer, actress, TV host, and composer. After performing in international productions such as “Les Miserables” and “The Little Shop of Horrors,” she decided to dedicate herself to tango, captivated by the melodies of Astor Piazzolla.
She has been the resident singer at major Buenos Aires show houses like Esquina Carlos Gardel and Esquina Humberto Manzi, in addition to being part of the Tango Emotion company and the European Otango. She has also participated in numerous important events linked to this musical genre.
In 2010 and 2011, Claudia took part in the world tour of the famous Gotan Project, which became known for giving tango an electronic and modern twist. She appears prominently in the DVD “Gotan Project 3.0 Live,” released in 2011.
Claudia has also been featured on several CDs and has released three solo albums: “Renaciendo” (2004), “Alma De Tango” (2005), and “Otra Miranda” (2008). Her style blends the characteristic drama of tango with elegant vocal technique.
