2CELLOS BACK TO BRAZIL IN SEPTEMBER

Croatian duo returns to Brazil to showcase their work, which creatively blends classical music, rock, pop, soul, and more.

Is it possible to gather in one work elements of classical music, rock, pop, soul music, and anything else, creating an energetic, creative, and contagious sound?

If we're talking about the Croatian duo 2CELLOS, the answer is a resounding yes. Leading with two cellos, instruments typically associated with classical music.

2CELLOS, consisting of Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser, returns to São Paulo for the show “An Evening With 2Cellos” on September 23 at 10 PM at Espaço das Américas (São Paulo). Tickets will go on sale starting June 1, 2016.

Their playing style breaks the boundaries between different music genres, from classical and cinematic to pop and rock. 2CELLOS has no limits when it comes to live performances, impressing just as much when playing Bach and Vivaldi as they do AC/DC and Iron Maiden. Passion and refinement are always equivalent.

2015 was an exciting year for the duo. On January 27, they released their latest album, Celloverse, which performed excellently on the American charts.

Celloverse is being promoted through a world tour. Additionally, the video for their cover of "Thunderstruck" by AC/DC surpassed 33 million views on YouTube so far.

The band's 2016 tour includes shows across the USA, Canada, various European countries, and Japan. The show, titled “An Evening With 2Cellos,” highlights their best work, with a focus on the latest CD.

2CELLOS rose to fame in 2011 when their cover of Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal" went viral, amassing over 25 million views on YouTube.

This tremendous response led to a contract with Sony Music Masterworks and an invitation to join Sir Elton John on his world tour. Since then, they've released three successful albums: 2CELLOS (2011), In2ition (2013), and the recent Celloverse (2015).

In addition to numerous sold-out solo tours in the USA, Japan, and Europe, the duo joined Elton John on his world tour, opening shows for the author of “Your Song” in massive stadiums.

They have also performed at Madison Square Garden (New York), Olympia (Paris), the Queen's Diamond Jubilee (London), and the Emmy Awards (USA), and participated in shows with Red Hot Chili Peppers, Queens of the Stone Age, George Michael, and Lang Lang.

2CELLOS has been featured on major TV shows such as the Today Show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Ellen DeGeneres Show (multiple times), Lopez Tonight, TV Total with Stefan Raab, CNN, The Daily Share, and many others. Alongside renowned pianist Lang Lang, they appeared at the CCTV New Year’s Gala to over a billion viewers.
