With five decades of career and millions of records sold, Rita Coolidge will bring to her new show songs from her latest album and some of her greatest hits such as “We’re All Alone,” “The Way You Do the Things You Do,” “All Time High” (theme of the 1983 James Bond film *Octopussy*), and "Higher and Higher".

BIOGRAPHY

Rita Coolidge was discovered by the duo Delaney & Bonnie, for whom she worked as a backing vocalist in Los Angeles. She participated in Joe Cocker’s *Mad Dogs and Englishmen* tour as a backing vocalist and had the opportunity to perform as a soloist. She sang a song she co-wrote called "Superstar," which later became a hit for The Carpenters. Rita also worked with other major rock artists, including Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, and Bob Dylan, as well as Leon Russell and Stephen Stills.

In 1971, she signed with A&M Records, launching one of the most enduring solo careers in music. She released over a dozen albums, including the multi-platinum *Anytime... Anywhere* in 1978. Several of her singles became classics, including “We’re All Alone,” “Higher and Higher,” and “The Way You Do the Things You Do.” She has performed alongside great artists like George Harrison, Roger Waters, Robbie Robertson, and Jimmy Buffett.

In 1973, Rita married singer, songwriter, and actor Kris Kristofferson, forming a famous romantic and artistic partnership. Together, they won several Grammy Awards during their eight-year marriage. Among her hits are "Love Came For Me," featured in the film *Splash*, and “All Time High,” the theme song of the James Bond film *Octopussy*. The song "Heart Don’t Fail Me Now" (with Lee Greenwood) was used as the theme for the CBS series *As The World Turns*.

Rita Coolidge also made an unforgettable mark on the soundtracks of Brazilian soap operas with her big hits. "We’re All Alone" was the most played song in the 1977 soap opera *O Astro*, "Love Me Again" was the theme of *Sinal de Alerta* in 1978, and "You" appeared in *Pecado Rasgado* the same year. In 1980, "I’d Rather Leave While I’m in Love" was part of the soundtrack for the soap opera *Chega Mais*.
