The show's repertoire will feature memorable songs from musical films and biopics such as “Rocketman”, “Mamma Mia”, “Grease”, “Saturday Night Fever”, “Bohemian Rhapsody” , “Rock Of Ages”, “Dirty Dancing”, “A Star Is Born” and “Moulin Roge”.
Medleys with great disco hits from the 70s, 80s and 90s (ranging from Donna Summer to Bruno Mars), a dancing reinterpretation of “Shallow”, from the new version of the film “A Star Is Born”, and the new “New Old Love”, a partnership with David Cochrane, former member of the group The Commodores, are other highlights.
The band Rod Hanna shows are usually a great celebration, complete with a dancing atmosphere full of joy and positive energy.
This is the recipe that gave them consecration and longevity, making their art a delicious time machine that brings back the best in music for new generations, with a contagious, original and intense look.
p>If this is already common in your career, imagine what a show prepared especially to celebrate 30 years of your career will be like. Even more so if we take into account that 30 Years of Success, the new show, actually encompasses two simultaneous and compatible intentions.
The most immediate aspect reflects the best moments of the 30-year artistic trajectory of the band created by the couple Rodrigo Laguna and Nora Hanna. The other is the fact that his repertoire encompasses notable hits from three specific musical decades, the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.
The musical selection will feature songs that were in the band's previous shows, such as “On Broadway”, “Back To Disco” and “Dançando no Cinema”.
There are those who say that the love story of the couple Rod and Hanna will become a film one day, and they explore this in the show with their old images and in the opening text, which says:
“We can see our own lives when we watch a film. We look at our story as if it were a movie. Tonight, watch your life, dancing in the movies with Rod Hanna.”
The spirit of disco music marks the show, as has been the practice in performances by Rod Hanna, the Brazilian group that best brought this remarkable rhythm to our stages and that captivates fans from all over age groups since the 1970s.
